The placement "test" for writing during Libby's orientation this past semester included a response to Peter Singer's thoughts on animal liberation. As absurd as it is, this is probably one of Singer's least controversial ideas. Singer is a fan of infanticide. Wesley Smith has just posted a video of a talk he (Smith) gave at Princeton a few years ago in response to that university's decision to tenure Singer. I have been a fan of Smith's blog, Second Hand Smoke, for a while, but didn't know too much about him. After watching the video, I will heartily recommend his blog to everyone.
